About us

After the disintegration of the Eastern block Hungary didn't see the prosperity expected. Unemployment increased in a sudden. Those still working are being employed for minimal wage by multinational corporations. Families trying to make a living had run into debt. Because of their difficult situation, people are happy to buy cheap secondhand clothes, which are in no way inferior to expensive world brands being sold at malls. Angex Ltd had opened 47 shops since its formation in 2004. Our dynamic growth is the result of trying to keep prices as low as possible, so that the needy could afford buying at us.Secondhand clothing bought from England and Ireland is selected, and graded, before being put on sale. We have over one hundred female employees, working close to their home. They are the ones in the worst situation on the labour market, because few employers hire women with children. We are aware, and also try to make our customers aware, that the reuse of clothing means protecting the environment. In the UK 2 million tonnes of clothing is sold every year and more than 1 million tonnes of textiles are thrown away - only 25% that is being recycled or reused, the rest ends up in landfills. Buying secondhand clothes saves lots of drinking water, spares the use of chemicals. Beside protecting the environment, we also have a dream of setting up a facility called the Laughing House, which would serve healing children with leukaemia in human circumstances. Until we reach this goal our company gives a certain amount from every sold item to charity.

We support needy minority families. We help the poor through the Maltese Charity Service. We sponsor the Remény Foundation for children with leukaemia We sponsor the fight against breast cancer.
